Orion Town Board Meeting
Chairperson Marc Couey called the monthly meeting to order at 7:00pm.
Roll Call – Chairperson Marc Couey, Supervisor Don Stanke, Supervisor Joe Halverson, Clerk Diane Parduhn. Treasurer Judy Shadewald attended via phone. Jeremy Kooi representing Wallace Cooper & Elliot.
Agenda – Chairperson Marc Couey read the agenda as printed. A motion to approve the agenda was made by Supervisor Don Stanke, seconded by Supervisor Joe Halverson, Motion carried.
BUSINESS
- Insurance Bid – Jeremy Kooi was present to provide answers to Board questions, after which a motion was made by Supervisor Don Stanke to approve the offer for insurance Community Insurance. A second was made by Supervisor Joe Halverson, motion carried.
- Selection of Lawn Mower Service – Two bids were received one from Swenson Services LLC and one from Grass Busters. After a review of bids a motion was made by Supervisor Don Stanke to accept the bid provided by Swenson Services LLC and seconded by Supervisor Joe Halverson. Motion carried.
- Assign a Deputy Treasurer – The board would like to appoint Clerk Diane Parduhn as Deputy Treasurer until such time as Judy is able to return to work. Judy was in full support of the idea and voiced her approval. A motion was made by Supervisor Don Stanke to appoint Diane Parduhn as Temp Deputy Treasurer, seconded by Chairperson Marc Couey. Motion carried.
Adjourn – Motion made by Supervisor Don Stanke, seconded by Supervisor Joe Halverson to adjourn the meeting, motion carried.
